You don't have to

Let's take a breath, shall we?

You don't have to buy an apartment — rent for life, live in hotels, or set up a hut on the beach if you want to. There's nothing wrong with that.

You don't have to settle down in one place — you can hop from country to country, city to city, even move every month if that feels right. Why not?

You don't have to work — it's a choice you make. If you don't need it, figure out how to avoid it and, well, don't.

You don't have to get married — if it doesn't feel right, don't. You don't owe it to anyone, and no one has the right to expect it of you. The same goes for having children.

You don't have to get a degree, or a second, or a third — if you don't see the point, skip it. Life doesn't get worse without a degree. Who cares?

You don't have to stick to a plan — life changes, you change, so it's perfectly fine to update your plans, scrap them altogether, or fly by the seat of your pants.

And finally:

You don't have to take my advice — do what feels right to you
